BioThe vastness between the shores of the island of my peoples and the shores of the Americas does not even begin to conceptualize the cultural vastness I feel that exists between these two countries that I hold dear. I oftentimes feel I am the creation of an anomalous friction from the conflicting beliefs of my assimilated self and my blood-born self, which oftentimes leaves me feeling as if I truly do not belong anywhere— I am a Cultural Nomad. As I strive to understand the confusion of my “true identity,” I come to understand that I am the product of a volatile relationship between two cultures of clashing beliefs. I am as confused as a tangerine in a bin of oranges.
